Confidence

Confidence is generally described as a state of being certain, either that a hypothesis or prediction is correct, or that a chosen course of action is the best or most effective given the circumstances. Confidence can be described as a subjective, emotional state of mind, but is also represented statistically as a confidence level within which one may be certain that a hypothesis will either be rejected or deemed plausible.

Self-confidence is having confidence in oneself when considering a capability. Overconfidence is having unmerited confidence--believing something or someone is capable when they are not. Scientifically, a situation can only be judged after the aim has been achieved or not. Confidence can be a self-fulfilling prophecy, as those without it may fail or not try because they lack it, and those with it may succeed because they have it, rather than because of an innate ability.

Choking refers to losing confidence, especially self-confidence, just at the moment when it is needed most and doing poorly as a result e.g. in sports. This is found as a common plot device in literature and film, and is usually devised to result in a total alteration of a character's life.

If you lack confidence in yourself, then how do you expect others to have confidence in you?

The following are ways where you can help yourself in getting confident

1. Like yourself

You must accept and like yourself. Make a list of all your positive traits and strengths on a piece of paper or in your diary. By doing this, you are reminding yourself that you too have praise-worthy qualities like others. You will like yourself and feel confident about yourself after this.

2. Attend Seminars

It is good if you attend seminars where professional speakers offer you tips and guidance on gaining confidence. During the speech, you can even pick up tips on public speaking from the speakers by watching their body language and the way they project themselves.

3. Motivate yourself

Whether it is for an interview or for a presentation, tell yourself that you can do it. Motivate yourself each day and soon you will find your confidence level growing. Another good way for motivation is that after work or study each day you should make a list of at least four things that you did well for that day.

4. Overcome fears

Some people always have a fear that they can never be successful in anything they do. Such insecurity will be a disadvantage and would cause you to lack confidence in yourself and in everything you do in your life. So in order for you to get rid of this fear you have to remind yourself that if you haven’t try something you can never say that you will fail in it. Be positive and try things without any fear or insecurity. For example at work your boss is asking you to head a team but you fear that you will make a mess out of it. Such a fear will prevent you from taking on that task at work. But if you were a confident person you wouldn’t think twice about failing and would gladly take on that task. This shows that a lack of confidence could also affect your career.

5. Accept Failures

If you are always crying over the mistakes that you made in your life, you will never get anywhere. Always remember that past mistakes and failures cannot be reversed and what’s done is done. Thus it is no use crying over spill milk. A confident individual always looks past those failures in his life. After all, failures are juts part and parcel of becoming successful. If you failed once you should take that failure as a learning lesson.

Welcome to Avanza, goodbye to merc

On June,22 2008, at 6.30 pm I took my new toyota avanza 1.3(M). Guess what, many friends keep on asking why I take 1.3 instead 0f 1.5, the reason is one. I need to do a replacement due to unexpected my 18 years old merz. I'm afraid many problem will come out.

In other word, my wages can be save from the fuel and monthly installment. Choosing Avanza, can SAVE me a lot... There are many slogan, like 'save the world','save the whale' etc.. but mine is 'save the money' hahaha

Spaces problem also solve, so no argument about the comfort seat anymore. I should change to 7-seater early, but it was hard to sell my merz. The price was offer to low. Fortunately, a man from kelantan bought it. Alhamdulillah..

Suzuki Smash Revo 110cc

I just bought my a new moped bike on May, 6 2008. But I took from the shop on May, 8 2008. Unfortunately, that Apek not installed sport rim and givibox. I have go to his shop again due to sport rim and givibox on friday May, 9 2008. He made another trick, the two parts only need half an hour to install but almost an hour was taken.

I choose this brand, suzuki because it is not 'motor panas'. So no need to worry.

This bike i use to go to KKTM Balik Pulau. The severe congestion on Penang Bridge made me to get a bike. My kids love this bike, they always ask me or my wife to take them a ride.
